ADDCON WATERSEAL PU
(Water Reactive polyurethane)
Description
Addcon Waterseal PU is mainly developed as versatile nonionic sealant in concrete structures.

Features
- It dissolves in water to form a gel. Minimum gelling concentration 5%
- It reacts even with sea water, mineral water, regardless of water temperature
- It has short gel time highly tough and resilient gel.
- It forms a strong and elastic gel which is chemically stable and non degradable. This ensures durability of water stopping works.

- Even smallest cracks and pores can be impregnated due to surface-active property and volume increase during reaction.

Storage
To be stored under normal storage conditions, away from heat & direct sunlight
Application
- Stopping leaks heavy water flow into structures.
- Stopping water oozing from ground, dams and banks.
- Leaks from large and small caliber sewer pipes, concrete crack and expansion joints.
- Leaks into building structures, tunnel through shield lining.
- Serves as sealant in concrete structures.
Recommended Injection System
Addcon Waterseal PU and water are prepared separately in the different tanks and are pumped out in the prescribed ratio (5-50 : 95 –50 respectively) through two hoses of which ends should be connected to ‘’Y’’ or ‘’T’’ shape pipe to join two flows together into one injection pipe. Addcon Waterseal PU as such or more then 50 % solution should not be injected as swelling occurs may damage the construction
Handling and Precaution
Cured gel of Addcon Waterseal PU is safe material. However, during injection works, it is necessary to pay attention to safety in handling.
Eye and Skin Protection
Safety glasses and industrial gloves should be used in handling. In case of skin contact with the liquid, immediately wash with water. the liquid getting into the eyes should be flushed out immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes, a physician should be called.
No use near flame
It should strictly be observed to keep Addcon Waterseal PU containers away from fire.
Ventilation of working environment
Use only in well ventilated conditions when impregnation works are carried in tunnel and underground sites. If feel ill, remove to fresh air.
Precautions to be taken during application
- Do not inject neat Addcon Waterseal PU or a solution containing more than 50 % by weight of Addcon Waterseal PU as localized high pressure may develop because of excessive foaming and swelling and may damage/destroy the construction.
- Precaution is required lest the injected Addcon Waterseal PU liquid should flow into river or other natural environment.
- The use of Addcon Waterseal PU should be limited to stopping seepage/flow of water during construction. It should not be used for any other application like stabling like stabilizing or reinforcing soil.

ADDGROUT-FG2
A Non-shrink High Strength Free Flow Cementitious Grout.
Description
A ready-to-use cement grout that expand in 2 stages to sufficiently counteract the plastic shrinkage normally associated with cement grouts. This is based on a blend of cement, carefully selected, graded aggregates & admixtures.It complies with ASTM C827 & C1107
Uses
Addgrout FG2is used for grouting under the following situations :
- Machine baseplates
- Columns in Pre-cast Construction
- Anchor Bolts
- Cavities, Gaps and Recesses
- Crane Rail soleplates
- Bridge Bearing pads
- Dry Pack Application

Coverage
Approximately 2.0 kg. powder will yield 1 Litre fluid grout.
Instructions for use
Surface preparation : Concrete surface should be clean, sound and free from oil, grease, cement laitance and all loosely adhering particles. Metal surfaces (Iron & Steel) should be free from scale, rust, oil and grease. Absorbent surfaces of concrete should be saturated thoroughly with clean water before the use of grout. However, surfaces should be free from any Puddles.
Mixing : Addgrout FG2 is best mixed in forced action mixer. Powder is gradually added to the pre-measured water and mixed mechanically with a slow speed drill (250-500 rpm) attached with a paddle type mixer, until a smooth & even consistency is achieved. The Water : Powder ratio ranges from 0.14 to 0.16 depending on consistency required at site. Do no mix more grout, which cannot be used within 5 minutes. DO NOT ADD ANY EXTRA WATER. Better to use a grout mixer fitted with pump.
Application : Pour the fluid grout after mixing from one end only. Ensure that air displaced by the fluid grout is allowed to escape from the cavity.
Curing : After the Grout is initially hardened, keep the grout damp by covering with polythene or damp hessian. Then cure the exposed area for 14 days.
Cleaning : Clean all tools and equipment with clean water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Important recommendations
For large bedding holes & higher gaps duly washed course aggregate of size 8 mm down may be mixed with Addgrout FG2 in the proportion of GROUT : AGGREGATE = 2 : 1 by wt. The Water : Powder ratio would be in the region 0.10 – 0.11

Handling precautions
Addcon Products are generally quite harmless, provided certain precautions are normally taken for handling chemicals. Avoid contact with foodstuff and food utensils. Avoid prolonged skin contact. In the event of contamination, wash thoroughly with water. If the eye or mouth is affected, wash with clean water immediately.
